Over the Christmas Break we have been working very diligently to upgrade our internal IT systems. Our major focus has been upgrading our award-winning remote monitoring system, Precision Watch to the new production release. The upgrade has introduced a number of new features that have enhanced the way we provide support to our clients. The key new features include:
Self-Healing
Version 7 of Precision Watch has introduced self-healing capabilities which lower the impact of recurring problems by allowing the system to fix itself when a problem is detected.
Precision Watch has the ability to monitor a range of different services running upon the system and will detect issues ranging from low disk-space, to firewall rule breaches, hardware failure and if certain network services (like websites, email, etc) are responding correctly.
With the new self-healing ability, when a problem be detected a task can be automatically executed to resolve the issue with no action required by our staff. Whilst this sounds like we are getting out of doing our jobs, it does instantly lower the issue resolution time for our clients.
The self-healing tasks are extremely flexible and can be customised to suit each of our client's unique IT systems, ensuring that each resolution is an exact match for the problem.
We are extremely excited about this feature as it is set to really decrease the business impact of a range of common issues for our clients.
End-Point Security
Precision Watch V7 debuts Endpoint Security Manager, a new solution that delivers integrated anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-malware, personal firewall and host intrusion prevention for Windows devices. Plus, it’s free for one year, generating significant savings for our clients.
Powered by a market-leading security engine, Endpoint Security Manager ensures comprehensive protection for Windows workstations and servers, including a wide range of operating systems such as XP, Vista, 2003 and 2008, as well as x86 and x64 support.
The security engine is fully integrated into Precision Watch to offer unmatched value by providing deployment, configuration, updating, monitoring and reporting across all networks, sites and devices – all done from a single console.
